Zagreb Christmas market

Zagreb’s Christmas Market is a festive highlight in the heart of our capital. Running from late November to early January, the market transforms the city into a winter wonderland, with charming stalls, sparkling lights, and a cheerful atmosphere. You can enjoy traditional Croatian holiday treats, handcrafted gifts, and live performances in picturesque settings like Ban Jelačić Square and Zrinjevac Park. This blend of local culture, delicious food, and seasonal cheer makes Zagreb a must-visit destination during the holiday season.

HOW TO GET AROUND ZAGREB

Public transport

Even though Zagreb is quite easily explored on foot, we have a system of trams (ZET) that we recommend you to use to get around more quickly! You can buy a ticket at the kiosk or in the tram from the driver (but it is more expensive). There is also an option to install the MOJ ZET app and use it to buy tickets more easily.

Taxi

When you do not want to wait for the tram or you want to get home faster and more comfortably be sure to have BOLT or UBER apps on your smartphone to order a TAXI. Here are also phone numbers of some local TAXI services (there are also apps available for them):

  • EKOTAXI +385 (0) 1 1414
  • Taxi Cammeo +385 (0) 1 1212

Public transport

If you are arriving with your car you should know that Zagreb has different parking zones around the city with different price ranges. You can check the prices for each zone here. Also, you can install the ZgPark mobile application to easily purchase, pay and top up parking permits at public parking lots and public garages.

Public bikes

Zagreb has a network of public bikes operated by NextBike. If you install the app and register, you can ride for just 50 cents for 30 minutes. If the weather is nice, this is the best option for late night rides!

FESTIVAL LOCATIONS

SATURDAY PARTY LOCATION

NOVINARSKI DOM

Aaaand we’re back at Novinarski dom, a striking art-deco gem in the heart of Zagreb. It hosted our Saturday party last year, and, by some happy chance, it was available for us again! Its glamorous interior sets the perfect scene for an unforgettable night of dance. And dancers, take note: the floor here is very fast, so get ready to glide.

WORKSHOP LOCATION

BUENA VISTA

The only Latin club in Zagreb focused on dance and authentic Latin culture. With over 120m2 of dance space in the main room, they host workshops, congresses, and vibrant parties for dancers and music lovers alike. This year, Buena Vista Club Zagreb will host our Snowdown Swing Festival workshops and parties on Friday and Sunday.

ELVES CLASSES SPOT

RESIDENCE STUDIO

This dance studio will host workshops for our Elves on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00. It can be a little tricky to find at first: enter the courtyard where the Maredo restaurant is, walk past the restaurant to the back of the courtyard, and you’ll see a bowling club on your right along with a staircase. Head up those stairs and you’ll find the studio. Please remember to bring clean shoes for this venue!
